Blog Tour for "Searching for Moore" by Julie A. Richman

Check out this Exciting Alternate POV & Character Interview...

"Searching for Moore" by Julie A. Richman

Attended by reality TV star wannabes and Southern California social climbers, Schooner Moore knows the party his wife is throwing for his forty-third birthday has little to do with him and everything to do with her social standing in Orange County. The evening turns out to hold more surprises than just his wife's Botoxed friends groping at his privates, when a conversation with his old college roommate, Beau, reveals the biggest surprise of the night.

Beau has had contact on Facebook with Mia Silver. Just hearing her name sends Schooner into a tailspin, as he is now just a Friend Request away from the one who got away when she disappeared without a goodbye, leaving him wondering why she left.

A serial failure at romance, Manhattan boutique ad agency owner, Mia, gets a blindside of her own when a Facebook Friend Request from first love, Schooner, appears in her email. Going with her gut reaction, Mia hits accept, propelling her past to catch up with her in a New York minute, as a forceful Schooner is determined to understand what tore them apart and to explore the possibility of a second chance at love.

From a 1980's Southern California college campus and a devastating first love to present day New York City, Searching for Moore explores how technology has eradicated the divide between our past and our present, and asks whether you would give up everything to reconnect with The One in a single keystroke?

Julie has given us a special Alternate POV...!!!
Book 1/Chapter 1 - CJ Moore

Where the hell is he?  CJ was fuming, although you would never know it from her perfected ice--maiden persona.  She graced those that gathered around her with her flawless, cover girl smile and played the part of the accomplished hostess.  She marveled at the women's stories, made deep eye contact with the men as they engaged her and basically had the entire room eating out of her hand.  Everyone but her AWOL husband.  Where the hell was he?

Beau Gordon was passing by and she reached out to lay a hand on his sleeve. "Beau, have you seen Schooner?" She gazed into his eyes, knowing the effect she would have on him, the effect she had always had on him.  Beau had been her best source of information when they were all in college. Information that she couldn't get out of Schooner, she would get from Beau, just by standing a little too close to him, letting his arm graze her breast and staring deeply into his watery, blue eyes.

"I haven't seen him.  Would you like me to go look for him?"

She knit her pretty brows together and nodded slightly.

 Beau rubbed CJ's upper arm, tenderly.  "Am on it."  He was off with a smile, all too happy to do her bidding.

CJ's Guests for Schooner's Birthday Party
It was just like Schooner to disappear when she needed him most.  This party was for him.  It was his birthday party and he had not been at her side the entire evening.  CJ Moore was not happy and later that evening she would let Schooner know just how unhappy she was with him.  Everyone was there - from magnets of industry in high-tech and entertainment to Southern California society (both old and new money) and there she was, entertaining everyone all by herself, while her husband could not be bothered to act the gracious host.  She had even flown their daughter, Holly, in from college in Rhode Island to surprise him.

CJ glanced over at the door that led out to the restaurant's deck just as Schooner, Beau and the restaurant's Executive Chef Jonathan were entering. All three men had slit-like eyes - bloodshot slits.  CJ felt her anger rising to a dangerous level.  Not only had he disappeared, but he now had the nerve to reappear stoned.  Was he purposely trying to embarrass her in front of the who's who of Orange County?

Schooner Moore, you have no idea the hell you will pay when we get home, she vowed to herself as she smiled sweetly and threaded her arm through her husband's and steered him toward the elegant fondant-wrapped cake in the shape of his company Level 9 headquarters.

As the crowd sang a hearty Happy Birthday to the handsome forty-three year old Schooner, CJ leaned into her husband, kissed his cheek and whispered into his ear, "Don't ruin this night for me."

Schooner smiled back at her, "I wouldn't dream of ruining your party, Sweetheart."

She smiled back at him, sweetly - but her eyes were doing anything but smiling, "Happy Birthday, Sweetheart," her endearment dripped with rancor as she leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his lips.

May 8th, 2013
I was able to sit down and interview CJ MacAllister Moore, for an interview, check this out... (please note, this interview does contain spoilers, I tried to do it without them, but this bitch is so crazy, I just couldn't do it, there were things that she needed to answer for and once you read "Searching For Moore" you will want to hear what sniveling replies she gave me... so if you haven't read the book yet, definitely come back and check this out after you finish, you will love & shake your head and likely laugh your ass off at what you read here)

Hi CJ, thanks for agreeing to my interview today... I hope your accommodations are to your liking.

Well, <shifts in chair and sighs> Schooner and I are used to staying at Chateau Elan when we come in for Road Atlanta, but this is … nice. <smiles patronizingly>

(It is the freaking Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead – she’s got to be kidding – the ungrateful Bitch)

So, I thought I'd start by asking what you felt the first time you saw (more like laid your over-privileged, narcissistic eyes on) Schooner Moore?

That he was the most handsome guy I’d ever seen and that we looked like we belonged together, because we did and we do belong together.

(OMG, what am I in for?  Could she be THAT delusional?  I’ll just keep asking questions and find out)

Did you fantasize that he would some day grow to love you?

Excuse me? Grow to love me? He was smitten with me from the moment he laid eyes on me on the first day of our freshman orientation.  The only thing that has grown is the depth of our love. (Oh this is going to be good.  I'm going to mess with this psyco bitch, I bet she could give Glenn Close in "Fatal Attraction" a run for her money!)

How excited was your mother when she met Schooner? Did you two hatch that staged photo as the first step on your obvious "marry Schooner Moore ladder" plan?

Schooner is very photogenic – as am I and all the members of my family, which I will remind you became his family.  And yes, my mother loved Schooner.  She could tell that he would fit right into our family. (I am really suppressing the urge to laugh in her face.  Is that a bad thing?)

Did you know that Schooner was angry with your manipulations? If you did, I have to ask, if you even cared?

I really don’t know what you are referring to.  Please be more specific.

Mia
Specifically what you did to Mia …

Ugh … Mia <rolls her eyes>.  Poor little pathetic Mia.  Why does everyone feel they need to protect her?  Is it because she’s short?  (I am Laughing.  Yes, I know am not supposed to laugh, but I feel like I’m being punked.  Is this woman for real?)

What made you feel threatened by Mia? Was it the pureness of her heart? The clear carefree way she lived & had fun?

Mia was a little stoner.  She was a misfit. She left school because she didn’t fit in.  It was no wonder she was miserable and wanted to leave.  The girl was a fish out of water on campus. No sorority would have ever considered taking her.

Was there ever a time in your life that you actually cared about what Schooner felt?

Schooner - New York

Every single day of my life, Stacy.  My world revolves around Schooner and my love for him. (Ok, That's rich... Now I have officially just entered an alternate universe.  I wonder if I need a passport?)

Now wait, don't answer yet, seriously sit back and think if there has EVER been a time that you truly cared about what he felt over your own self-absorbed desires.

(I wonder how long she'd have to think about this for real, I'm sure she'll just gloss over some bullshit answer with her practiced Real Housewives smile)

<smiles> Stacy, do you have children. (her tone is like melted sugar.  I nod)  Then you know what it’s like. I’m a mama-bear.  My family always comes first.  That is why I always put everyone’s needs before my own.

How does it feel to know that you've never truly held a place in Schooner's heart, I mean, doesn't that sting at least a little? (God I really hope so)

You really need to do better research before you interview someone.  Schooner Moore has been my husband for over 20 yrs.

Ok CJ, you know this is going to appear in print and the world knows that you are in the midst of one of the highest profile divorces in the news, so can we get real here and cut the bullshit.  This is your chance to really tell your side of the story.

My side of the story is I am the victim here (thinking I want whatever she is on!).  Mia Silver is a home wrecker, plain and simple.  This is not the first time she has used some dramatic ploy to get Schooner to notice her.

Mia & Schooner on Fire Island, NY
Notice her?  He moved to NY to be with her. They are having a child together.

My point exactly – she’s taken drama to new heights to steal him and guilt him with her bastard child. And if he thinks for one second that I will be making Hanukah dinner for that child, he is wrong! (A reporter’s dream, omg, this lady is the Ultimate BBC – this Bitch Be Cray Cray! Did she just really say that.  You just can’t make this shit up!).

How do your other children, Holly and Zac feel about their new sibling?

Half-sibling, Stacy. (Oh boy, did I hit a hot button or what?  Score!)  Well, Holly is totally brainwashed by her father and will probably be the hostess of the bastard’s baby shower <CJ visibly shudders>.  And poor Zac.  He is distraught over this. Distraught at how that woman has ruined our family.  Zac is very sensitive, you know. (wondering how much longer I can sit here and listen to this. Ummm, I can’t.  This witch is actually scaring me.  We need her on a plane back to LA ASAP!).

Well, thank you for your time today, and enjoy your stay in Atlanta. We have some very hot men here, I'm sure (you'll be itching to sink your claws into) you'd love to um, meet them.

Check out this excerpt:

After I finish my coffee, I rinse our mugs and put them in the dishwasher.  Silently scolding myself over letting Tim control my thoughts again; it happens less and less but it still happens.  I sigh as I clean off the counter and the door swings open.  I laugh, “Ray we have wasted enough time last night and this morning…you are late now you know?”  I tease and turn around to meet four wide amused eyes…Kate and Zack.

“Babe it is only a waste of time if you aren’t doing it right.” Kate teases.
Zack laughs and sits at the table. “Oh they are doing it right Sweetheart.  Sit down ladies I have a story.”
                                                What was that Zack?
I look at Kate, “Where is Lys?”
         “Asleep in the portable in the living room.” She replies as we sit.
Zack hands out the donuts and lattes then smiles at us, “Ok… So, once upon a time there was this fabulously, sexy, amazing…”
         “Zack!” We both yell frustrated with his vanity. I swear and he says women are bad!

He chuckles, “OK, OK…Anyway, I pull up outside my cousin’s condo late one night.  He is not home.  Just as I am about to leave, his car pulls in the driveway.” Zack says watching me. Oh No!  Kate glances from Zack to me beyond intrigued. “Just as I start to walk up, the doors swing open and my cousin and his girl run up to the door.”
Kate’s eyes go wide and I blush.  Oh no! Oh my…No!
                                “I start walking up worried something is wrong, I mean I see no baby girl, and they are running full on sprinting.  Then my cousin shoves girl up against the door and she wraps around him like a damn pretzel as he jams the key in the lock.”
                Oh my God as if I haven’t been thoroughly embarrassed enough since I have been home!
I bang my head against the table, “Oh Rach tell me you did it right there on the steps, that is so hot!  Oh the slamming and forceful make-out sessions…so yum!” She squeals clapping her hands.
Zack waits until my eyes meet his again, “No.  Ray got them inside.” Kate frowns and I relax a bit.  “But…” Zack says raising his hand. “I figured that I could sneak to my room once they were in his to get my backpack and sneak right back out.  Hey, they’d never see me right?” I cover my burning face in my hands as Zack brings it on home. “Well I step up on the porch and not two feet from the door I see his backside and her legs…still wrapped around him her clothes all over the floor behind him.  I mean not much of a view unless you like male jean clad ass.” He shrugs, “But the noises…those were porno worthy!” He tosses his head back and mocks me with a high-pitched yelp as I peak through my fingers. “’Oh Ray!’.... and then a very demanding ‘Rip them already!’”
Kate roars with laughter and fans herself with her napkin, “Damn that’s hot.” She says nudging me with her elbow. “I told you two before that you were hotter than my books!  Damn!”

Pulling my hands back from my eyes I glare at Zack. “Love that shade of red, on you Rachel.  Almost the same shade of pissed of lobster Ray will be!” He teases as I slap him on the back of the head. “Ouch…hey!” He yelps.

“I’ll give you a piece of advice Zack, don’t mention it to Ray.” I snap pointing my finger at him.
He shrugs, “Why you think he will be all pissy like you, Babe?”
                  “I don’t want to find out.” I say standing up, “I have to go open the spare room, Ray has people coming soon.” I toss over my shoulder and walk in to find my princess sleeping soundly in her play pen.  I kiss her forehead and walk down the hall and open the door to the spare room.

 Is Cade Walker Destined to Succeed?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Destined to Succeed Excerpt:
Cade walked up behind me and pulled my hand with the shot glass up to his mouth. He had me press it to his lips as he slammed it back. He was standing so close to me. His chest was pressed against my shoulder.
“You havin’ a party without me, hon?” I could feel his breath against my neck.
“A party just ain’t a party without Cade Walker, right?” I was trying to be funny, but my voice was shaky because he was just too close for me to think straight. He gently turned me around to face him. I felt his finger under my chin as he tilted my head up to look at him. His eyes were smoldering and this might have been the shots talking, but he was totally kissing me with those eyes.
Author Bio:
I grew up in a really small town in Missouri. Very similar to the fictional town I wrote about in my novel. I moved to the big city right after I graduated. I work full-time and I am mom to a beautiful little girl. I started writing in October when a group I am in had a prologue contest. I didn't win the contest, but everyone who read my prologue asked for more of my story. I decided I had to finish it and get these characters that were in my head out on paper. During the writing process it became clear that this was going to be more than one novel. It had to be a series. I have at least 2 more novels planned for the Destined Series. I also have an idea for a YA novel that stems from one of the characters in Destined to Change...hint, hint. When I was asked to write this bio I explained that I am really boring and it would be really short...so, that's about all there is to know about me. I love music and honestly couldn't have written this book without my Spotify playlist. I am kinda obsessed with frogs (not real ones) and office supplies are my downfall! I could spend my whole paycheck at the stationery store...boring, didn't I already say that? lol Also, I am slightly addicted to Facebook and Voxer. Please message me on either one...I would love to hear from all of you.
