TEASER TWO
Damn, this woman could bring him to his knees. There they were - both standing there, naked. Vulnerable. The truth was finally out. And if he was standing there high on the edge of a  cliff, he wasn't standing there alone anymore. Mia had joined him. She was as bold and fearless as she'd always been. This was the Mia Silver with whom he had fallen hopelessly in love.
"We're going to be ok, Mia," he reassured her. He wasn't going to allow himself to believe anything else. He could picture her shaking her head yes on the other end of the phone as he heard her trying to hide her tears. He pictured gently wiping them away with his thumb.

"You promise, Schooner?"

And as always with Mia, making a promise was so damn easy. "I promise, Baby Girl."

Tamron's 5-STAR Review of "Moore to Lose" by Julie A. Richman

Dang....there's so much that I want to say about this book!!! However, most of it would be considered spoilers, especially if you haven't read Searching for Moore. Nobody appreciates spoilers, so I will do my best to avoid them. For those of you who are completely unfamiliar with these books, Searching for Moore is Book 1 in the Needing Moore Series. It's the first act in the saga of Schooner Moore and Mia Silver. Schooner is California, Mia is NYC. Yes, that's where they're from, but it's also their personalities. Schooner's a golden God. He's beautiful, blonde, tan, outgoing, and loved by everyone he comes into contact with. Mia's beauty is exotic compared to the California Barbies that Schooner's used to.  She's extremely intelligent, shy, mysterious, different...REAL. She's the most real creature that Schooner's ever seen. And he's instantly smitten. So was I. I love her snarky, quick wit. So, naturally they fall for each other in the first book. Then, some REALLY, REALLY bad shit goes down (avoiding spoilers here) that literally breaks Mia. These tragic events and deceit tear them apart. They spend 24 years apart, only to find each other again. But, can they overcome all that they've been through? Will true love prevail? Searching for Moore leaves you wondering, hoping for S&M (hehe) to have their HEA. It leaves you hanging with the mother of all cliffhangers.

I wanted to smack Julie Richman for making me gnaw off all of my fingernails. So, needless to say, the wait for the second book was EXCRUCIATING!!! I was so damn happy to get the chance to review Moore to Lose because I was FINALLY going to get the answers I so desperately needed...or was I?

Moore to Lose is the second book, so I expected it to pick right up where the first one left off, and it does at first. Then, it rewinds, and fills in all of the missing years while our couple was apart, coupling with the wrong people. We find out all of the juicy details of Mia's sexcapades (SCORE) and learn what makes her the beautifully broken, but totally bad-ass, businesswoman she is today. We get a lot more of her FABULOUSLY gay sidekick, Seth (YAY!!! I SO love a gay boyfriend), as well as her parents (YAY-I also love Jewish mothers) and the whole book takes place in NYC, pretty much during the 24 years that Mia and Schooner are apart.  I love it when an Author can make me FEEL a story, rather than just read it. The Needing Moore Series does just that, and I can't wait until my next fix. Especially since she leaves us with ANOTHER cliffhanger!!!

(On a personal note to Julie A. Richman: I fucking love you! You made me a snotty ugly mess. I considered deducting a star for the damn cliffhanger, but in the end, I just could't bring myself to do it. This book deserves 5 stars. You earned them. Bitch. <---You also earned that. Also, Texas is not that damn big, I will hunt your brilliant ass down if you make me wait too long for Moore. LOL.)

  1. I KNOW, right?! I also loved reading about Mia's sexcapades! That woman can attract the hottest men and know what to do with them. ;)

EVERY girl should have a gay boyfriend like Seth! Great review!

  2. I love that Mia's sexcapades are not glossed over. She's a REAL woman and did the same things many of us did (or do) in our twenties. And, EVERY girl should have a gay boyfriend!! Seth is awesome!

  4. Loved reading what Mia got up to in the missing 20 years before Schooner's return. Great to meet new characters and discover how some of those from the first book fitted into the equation. At the same time we laughed and cried as Mia exercised some ghosts of her past and worked her way up in the world.. and in the meantime she certainly didn't live like a nun! Can't wait for the next book...

  5. Finding out about Mia's past made me love this series even more. I was able to get answers to some of the questions I had about the first book. It was wonderful. Can't wait to see how it ends.
